The wines of the monks of Lérins Abbey

Taste the wine produced by the monks of Lérins Abbey

Discover the wines of Lérins Abbey, a unique production. The 8 hectares of the Saint-Honorat vineyard are cultivated by the monks of the abbey. They produce this wine using ancient methods.

Visit the Saint-Honorat Island vineyard and taste this sacred wine where it is made. Six grape varieties are grown - Syrah, Clairette, Chardonnay, Chardonnay, Mourvèdre, Pinot Noir, and Viognier - five for red wine, three for white wine. The exceptional climatic conditions of the island allow an annual production ranging from 35 to 40,000 bottles, some of which are served during official meals organized by the President of the Republic. Then there is Lérina Liquor.

Made from 44 plants, this yellow or green elixir, producing up to 9,000 bottles per year, it also pays tribute to the know-how of the monks of Lérins. The exclusive recipe - only known by an abbey monk! - is passed on from generation to generation.
